An Interior Designer plans and designs the interior of private homes, public buildings and commercial establishments such as offices, restaurants, hotels and theatres. He/She works with architects, structural engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, acoustics and lighting specialists, product and furnishing suppliers, building and marketing consultants and the clients, to design and develop particular environments suited to the particular user's needs.
To be an Interior Designer, you need a:
(1) Diploma in Interior Architecture & Design [Temasek Polytechnic]
OR
(2) Diploma in Interior Design [LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts]
OR
(3) Diploma in Interior Design [Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts]
OR
(4) Diploma in Interior Design [Singapore Polytechnic]
Other equivalent diplomas from recognised institutions are also acceptable.
Course / Programme Entry Requirements

To apply for admission to the 3-year diploma course in Interior Architecture & Design, for 'O' level holders, you must have:
(1) Grade 1-6 in English Language (EL1)
(2) Grade 1-6 in Mathematics (Elementary/Additional)
(3) Grade 1-6 in any 3rd and 4th subject
(4) Grade 1-7 in any 5th subject

To apply for admission to the 3-year diploma course in Interior Design, you must have at least 5 GCE 'O' level passes (3 credits and 2 passes including a credit in English) or its equivalent.
[Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts]
To apply for admission to the 3-year diploma course in Interior Design, you must have at least GCE 'O' level credits in 4 subjects.
